SugarCreek is proud to announce that its food recovery project has received an Environmental Achievement Award from the North American Meat Institute (NAMI). The Environmental Achievement Award is awarded to companies that go above and beyond environmental compliance by successfully implementing an environmental program. The project placed third and was recognized as one of the best in Social and Economic Sustainability. The project was granted the award for its innovation, cost effectiveness, social significance and its positive effect on the environment.
In addition to the Environmental Achievement Award, all SugarCreek facilities were presented with Environmental Recognition Awards for the fourth continuous year. This recognition is given to companies who dedicate themselves to continuous environmental improvement and for their development and implementation of Environmental Management Systems (EMS). NAMI also recognized all SugarCreek facilities with Safety Recognition Awards for superior safety programs and metrics.
Congratulations to all of those at SugarCreek who continue to work hard to reduce environmental impact, improve our communities, and to dedicate themselves to making SugarCreek a more safe and sustainable company. Thank you also to the North American Meat Institute.
